Albert Einsten Núñez Fernandez is a second generation coffee farmer from the El Paraiso village in Huabal. He and his parents live at the farm and manage their 1.5 hectares of coffee. The farm is planted with various different varieties, all mixed together, but they are mostly caturra, bourbon and typicas. Albert picks and processes his coffee the same day, it is fermented for around 24 hours before being washed clean and dried on a lined patio.

Huabal is a district within the Jaén province of Cajamarca and is one of our strongest areas for members and quality. Since it spans a couple of mountains, the climate conditions and soils can vary considerably, with some areas having wet, humid conditions and red, African-like soils and others dry and hot. This all contributes to diverse and delicious cup profiles and some very complex coffees.
