Gloria Rafael Arevalo owns 2 hectares of land in El Diamante where she grows catuai, caturra and castillo varieties at an altitude of 1,700 masl.

El Diamante is one of the closest coffee-producing areas to the city of Jaen and therefore has a huge cooperative presence. It’s also one of the few areas to have protected forests, which are home to a variety of flora and fauna native to the region. Not only that, but there are also many water sources that supply much of the water to the city. This thriving natural environment creates a beautiful setting to grow coffee but also contributes to the richness and stability of the soils in the area.

We’re releasing this coffee around International Women’s Day 2021, to further raise awareness of and celebrate and all the female producers we’re proud to source coffee from. Gloria, named after the producer, is a distinct coffee with heavily fruity flavour notes, a pronounced acidity, and a long and floral-like finish.
